🎬 3, 2, 1 Action! A new Erasmus+ project on bullying through filmmaking
We are delighted to announce the launch of our new European project 3, 2, 1 Action!, an innovative Erasmus+ initiative that harnesses the power of cinema and short films to raise awareness about school bullying.
Five dynamic secondary schools from Spain, France, Italy, and Turkey are joining forces and embarking on a creative journey into the world of filmmaking, with Karpos acting as a mentor in film education.
🎯 The aim of the project is for students to collaborate in intercultural teams and create their own short films, addressing issues of school violence while promoting inclusion and respect.
🎓 Teacher Training in Athens
As part of the project, from February 9–13, 2026, we hosted 10 teachers at the Karpos premises in Athens for an intensive week-long training program in film education.
The training combined:
- theoretical approaches
- experiential learning activities
- hands-on practice and feedback
More specifically, after exploring key concepts of filmmaking, participants became familiar with film equipment and developed short projects focusing on school bullying and violence.
Special emphasis was placed on simple, practical activities that can be easily implemented in the classroom, even with minimal equipment.
💬 Feedback from participants was highly positive, with many teachers expressing increased confidence in organizing filmmaking activities with their students.
👩🎓👨🎓 Students Take the Lead
The next phase of the project focused on student engagement. Through two online sessions, students and teachers had the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, and collaborate creatively.
In total:
- 50 students
- 20 teachers
from all partner countries participated in interactive exercises and group activities.
🎬 During these sessions, participants:
- were introduced to the basics of scriptwriting
- explored the short film format
- began developing their first film ideas
Creating Change Through Art
3, 2, 1 Action! is more than just an educational project—it is an initiative that empowers young people, fosters creativity, and promotes cross-cultural collaboration.
Through filmmaking, students become creators, tell their own stories, and actively contribute to tackling school bullying.
