The european project TeamUp! is a collaboration between 4 european countries ( ERIM France, FORMA.Αzione - Italy, Καρπός - Greece, 4Change - Portugal) which aims to create a training for adults in media and information literacy.The project focuses in three subjects: Hate Speech, Gender and Migration in Media.

Karpos participates in the new ECO Hosting project with the co-financing of Erasmus+ of the EU. The ECO Hosting.net project aims to contribute to reducing the environmental impact of tourism in European natural areas.

Women in the Media is a European project that aims to empower women and make the tv and film industry more accessible to them. Karpos is one of the 6 partners in the project. The other partners are from UK, France, Czech Republic, Estonia and Bulgaria.

GET THE TROLLS OUT!

2019 - 2021

Karpos is part of a new project, Get the Trolls Out, that aims to fight hate rhetoric in media targeting people because of their religious beliefs. The organization that leads the project is Media Diversity Institute (UK) and five other organizations from Belgium, Germany, France and Hungary are part of it with us.

2018 - 2020

Karpos with GVC Gruppo di Volontariato Civile, the Municipality of Bologna and a network of European Ngos, are launching the #MigraTed project in five member Countries of the European Union. Involving teachers, young students and workers, citizens and refugees in a digital awareness raising campaign aiming to promote cultural diversity, inclusion and hospitality in Europe.

SILENCE HATE

Rights, Equality and Citizenship project

2017 - 2019

Silence Hate, Changing words changes the world is co-funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme of the European Union. The general objective of the project is to combat and prevent online hate speech against migrants and refugees by developing new and creative counter-narratives. The most effective way to tackle hatred is through education and debate.

Karpos is a partner at this Erasmus+ project. The project aims the testing and implementation of innovative methodologies and practices in the field of education, in secondary schools of 8 European countries. Our main objective is to value media literacy of students, their competences developed out of schools, their engagement in active citizenship and to promote young creativity through the development of "Digital Ateliers".

Creating a common Media Literacy Standard: EMELS, is a network of media literacy focused organisations in 7 countries, which learn from each other, exchange experiences but especially prepare an innovative media literacy training programme: European Media Literacy Standard for Youth Workers. Our leader partners are from Fundacja Nowoczesna Polska, in Poland.
