HUNT FOR THE TRUTH: An Event for UNESCO Media Literacy Week 2026
KARPOS Celebrates UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Week with an Activity for Children!
As part of UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2026, we celebrated with a free event at our premises, where children aged 10–14 had the opportunity to play the award-winning board game “Hunt for the Truth.” Hunt for the Truth is a co-created board game that promotes media and information literacy in the age of artificial intelligence.
On Sunday, 18 October, 16 young participants discovered, through fun activities and questions, how to distinguish real news and images from those generated by artificial intelligence (AI).

What do children learn through Hunt for the Truth?
✅ What artificial intelligence is.
✅ How to identify misleading content generated by AI.
✅ How to assess the reliability of sources.
✅ How to make decisions based on verified evidence.
The game won First Prize in the Primary Education category of the 6th International Student Competition for Educational Board and Digital Games, organised by EKΚΟΜΕD (the Hellenic Film and Audiovisual Media Centre – Creative Greece).
The event was organised in collaboration with CSO Segalor, the Centre for Support and Development of Cultural Heritage “Trembita”, and the Ukrainian Saturday School “Trembita” in Greece.
