Open Call: Participation in the International Media Edukathon | 3-5 September, Athens

We are excited to announce the international Media Educathon coming to Athens this September!
As part of the European project TADAM (Tools & Awareness on Disinformation, Algorithms, and Media), Karpos, together with 9 other partners from 8 European countries, is organizing the Media Educathon—a three-day international event focused on Media and Artificial Intelligence, inspired by hackathon methodology. The Media Educathon will take place in Athens from September 3–5, at the beautiful Museum of the History of the University of Athens, and we invite you to participate!
In collaboration with the Hellenic Centre for Audiovisual Media and Communication (EKOME) and the Creative Europe – MEDIA Desk Greece, we have secured 10 additional spots for Greek participants, who will attend the Media Educathon free of charge and take part in all its activities!
If you work in media or media education, are a journalist, researcher, or simply passionate about the future of Artificial Intelligence, media, and information, join the Media Educathon team and participate in this innovative event that bridges creativity with AI. During the Educathon, you’ll have the opportunity to work in teams and co-create inspiring activities on media literacy and artificial intelligence in education and information.
Over the course of three exciting days, you’ll design creative educational activities exploring how AI is changing the way we access, process, and share information. This is your chance to co-create solutions that will help shape the future of media education! The best idea will receive an award from EKOME.
Guided by creative methodologies based on Design Fiction and collaborative brainstorming, this interactive experience emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and critical thinking. You’ll collaborate with experts and participants from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, bringing fresh perspectives and learning new approaches to media education.
This international experience is more than just an event—it’s a journey of co-creation and discovery.
